Every new app promises to save time, but the switching cost, the new interface to learn, the data to migrate, rarely gets counted against it.
A smaller toolkit you actually know well tends to beat a larger one you're constantly relearning.
Before adding a new tool, it's worth asking what you'd remove to make room for it, the same way you would with physical belongings.
